Pokemon Character Information

Ash Ketchum:

Ash Ketchum is the main character and "hero" of Pokemon. He is from Pallet Town and starts off his story coming late to pick up his first pokemon from professor oak on his journey of becoming the world's

greatest pokemon master (at least that's his goal). Ash is 10 years old at the beginning of the series, his personality is very stubborn, willing and somewhat stupid. But he has a lot of heart and will do anything to protect his pokemon and friends. He is very caring and a little too proud and sure of himself sometimes, always ready to battle. Ash's pokemon at the beginning are pikachu, squirtle, pidgey, bulbasaur, butterfree and charmander. Later on he lets go of some and gains new but always keeps pikachu. (hey that rhymes...-_-')

Brock:

Brock is the very first gym leader that Ash battles. He was the head of the Pewter City Gym, his specialty being rock and fire pokemon. At fist Ash loses to him, but his stubborn ways bring him to battle against

him again and win. Later we soon find that Brock does not really want to be a gym leader but stays in Pewter city to take care of his ten younger brothers and sisters while their father is away. Then Brock's father returns (how likely is that, all in the same episode...) and he joins Ash and Misty on their journeys around the pokemon world. Brock's goal is to become the world's greatest pokemon breeder. He is very smart and often gives Ash and Misty advice. Not only that he is really good at cooking and cleaning so is kind of motherly. Unfortunately he has a strong taste for women and always seems to be hitting on all the pretty girls he meets on their travels. ^-^ lol. Brock owns an onix, vulpix, zubat, and a geodude.

Delia Ketchum:

Delia is Ash's mother. She stays in Pallet town and always greets Ash warmly when he returns home. She loves her son and encourages his training giving him full support. She can be kind of embarrassing for him sometimes  but thats just what mothers do. Delia owns a Mr. Mime.

Gary Oak:

Gary Oak is Ash's number one rival, ever since the first time they both set out from Pallet town. He is Professor Oaks grandson and always seems to be a step ahead poor

Ash. He goes around with a girl pep squad to cheer him on. He is a great trainer but can be kind of a bully. Although at moments he will let through some appreciation towards Ash's great training skills when Ash proves himself. Gary owns practically every pokemon there is...

Giovonni:

Head of the notorious Team Rocket Coporation that goes around trying to steal all the rare and best pokemon from trainers around the world. You only see him like a couple of times in the show.

James:

A member of a small team that is a part of the Team Rocket corporation. Other people in his group being Jesse and a talking Meowth. He comes from a rich family but he ran away as a boy because of all the

pressure. Him, Jesse and Meowth are always bumping into Ash and the gang and are always trying to steal pikachu. Lucky for our heros these members of Team Rocket are really stupid and really suck at kidnapping pokemon. They are always "blasting off" so to speak, he...he...he...James owns a weezing, victreebell, and a growlithe who stays at home with his rich family.

Jesse:

Also a member of Team Rocket, a high-maintenance woman always bossing around James and Meowth. She owns a lickitung, arbok, and wubbafat.

Meowth:

This is a meowth...one of the many amazing pokemon...however this particular meowth is a member of Team Rocket and can talk. He taught himself to talk to impress a girl meowth long ago but she dumped him

anyway...he is the only known pokemon who can speak the human langauage. He likes to yell and scream a lot when Team Rocket's plans for capturing pikachu fail...and yeah...Meowth often translates what pokemon are saying to people, but his main job is to be the leader of Jesse and James and to help work up plans (that always fail) to capture rare pokemon for the boss.
